Unlike acupuncture, which involves inserting thin needles at various pressure points, acupressure is a non-invasive practice that relieves aches and pains by diffusing energy.
Relieve Acute Pain
Acupressure practitioners have reported that it helps to alleviate Headaches, Neck Pain, Back Pain, Sciatica Pain, Stress and Tension and Insomnia.
Large Surface Area
With 12 acupressure points per stud there is an even distribution of relief across the body.
Portable & Compact
Like conventional Yoga mats the acupressure mat can be rolled up and easily transported to be used anytime, anywhere!
Directions of Use
To get maximum results, use the mat each day for 10 to 20 minutes at a time. Remember to breathe and practice consciously relaxing your body.
Beginners will often spread the mat out on a bed or soft surface, intermediate to experienced practitioners may move their mat onto the floor.
For first time users wearing a light shirt or placing thin fabric over the spikes may help to acclimate to the feeling of the mat. Users report that best results are achieved when the mat is in contact with bare skin... don't feel the need to go shirt-off right away.
Lie down with your weight evenly distributed on the mat. This will help you avoid injury from the points.
Don’t fidget or move around on the mat, as you may more readily pierce or scratch your skin that way.
You may try sitting on the mat, this will help relieve pain in the back and buttock regions.
Mats take getting used to, but really seem to work for many people. If this product appeals to you, stick with it and give it time to work.
